Founded in 2022 by Artistic Director Danielle Davis, Pangea Dance Collective is a New York City-based concert dance organization and 501(c)(3) nonprofit. At Pangea, we believe in the power of movement as a universal language. Through dance, we hope to create art that transcends race, religion, gender, nationality, and all other “borders” that divide humanity.

Pangea is also committed to respecting artists as whole human beings, and we regard the dancer’s body as an archive that holds incredible stories. Unlike a traditional dance organization, where one choreographer sets pieces on a company of dancers, at Pangea, dancers work collaboratively to bring one another’s choreography to life, eliminating hierarchies and giving everyone agency in the creative process. As such, our works reflect and rely on the unique experiences of our dancers in the hopes that we can make connections with diverse audiences.
